Beloved Community Talks – Reimagining Public Safety in America

The King Center presents ‘Reimagining Public Safety in America,’ a #BelovedCommunityTalks experience. Courageous conversations are not the end. This BCT will help us understand the issues and plan for the critical work that must be done to ensure non-discriminatory, humane, and equitable public safety. Hosted by Dr. Bernice A. King (King Center CEO) and Bakari Sellers (author, commentator and activist). Guest conversationalists: Dr. Phillip Atiba Goff (CEO, Center for Policing Equity), Aqeela Sherrills (Director, Newark Community Street Team), Chief Bill Scott (San Fransisco Police Department), and Farhang Heydari (Executive Director, Policing Project, New York University).
