Bridging The Divide: A Post Election Conversation with The King Center

Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 • 12:00 PM EDT
Courageous conversations aren’t the end, but they matter. Join The King Center Tuesday, November 24th at 12:00PM as we discuss how to create the #BelovedCommunity post #Election2020. We can. #BelovedComnunityTalks #Nonviolence365 #MLK

As the world has been gripped by the pandemic crisis of the Coronavirus, we also find ourselves grappling with the harvest from the inhumane seeds of slavery. While the pandemic heightened our awareness of the health disparities in marginalized and disenfranchised communities, the 8 minute and 46 seconds murder of George Floyd by those sworn to protect, revealed a reality America has so long ignored. However the convergence of consciousness has revealed the urgency for all Americans to search themselves, their values and their humanity to address the inequities that can no longer be ignored.

The King Center recognizes that we are again on the precipice of a movement for equity. We are asking our global community to join us virtually as we continue our Beloved Community Talks and explore how we dismantle white supremacy and eradicate racism. It is our intent to provide a pathway for justice, a call for accountability and a deeper understanding of racial disparities that must be redressed for equity to be realized.

We also encourage to join us in bridging the racial divide and polarization in our world by hosting your own courageous conversation or by becoming a formal Beloved Community Partner. To host your own courageous conversation, simply click on the link below and sign up to host a “Bridging the Racial Divide” virtual dinner with our partner Civic Dinners.

If your company or organization would like to become a Beloved Community Partner to fund future Beloved Community Talks or host a series of courageous conversations, simply click on the “Partnership” tab above and complete the short form.
